ReplyDeleteCongrats Eric!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to dedicate these three PBA Trophies to your late brother TABA, whose birthday is today, the 21st of September!
More power Eric!
ka tony
Ditto and much Kudos Eric for the much deserved awards!
ReplyDeleteMario
Congrats!!! Truly deserving and more!
ReplyDeleteTrue enough! You kept throwing out there what you love to do ... and the universe has reciprocated accordingly!
So happy for you Eric... may you have many more love to share ... and may you find the same love in return.
i hope to have your authograph, when time and place permits. I'm now officially one of your fans ;)
You deserve a lot more and Congratulations!
ReplyDeletePaolo
i'M REALLY GLAD YOU WON, Eric!!!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!!!!
You rock, Sir Eric... you know that?
ReplyDeleteWe hope you never get tired of doing what you do.
Congratulations! You truly deserve the win :)
ReplyDeleteI was there, actually. Gusto ko na sanang tanggapin on your behalf..para makaakyat man lang sa entablado..hehehe :)
Congratulations Eric! More power to you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations sa iyo Eric!
ReplyDeleteNakakatuwa naman at talagang tinangkilik ng marami ang talino mo!
Tuloy ang ligaya Eric!
Ano naman ang napanalunan mo? May libreng laptop ba?
¡Enhorabuena!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Señor.
Congratulations Eric! And thank you for educating me. :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I suppose you've been to Binondo recently (judging from the image you posted here)? :)
Again, congratulations! May you not tire in maintaining this blog of yours. :)
congratulations!!! i still think you deserve a much better award than just those 3 specific post
ReplyDeletesenor, i was at the PBA 2008 last night and i was so happy when i heard your blog mentioned three times as an awardee.
ReplyDeletecongratulations!
Thank you, Palma.
ReplyDeleteAnd you keep the faith, 'ya hear? I am one of those who greatly admire your artworks :)
Maraming salamat, Ka Tony!
ReplyDeleteI'll let you in on a little secret: reason I've become a prolific blogger is because I consider my posts as missives to my late brother, Taba. And what I missed most since he was gone were those wonderful dinner parties he used to host in which he'd invite a wonderful mix of interesting people, a small group -- once or twice a month.
And know what? The riveting conversations that would come out from such get-togethers somehow remind me of the exchanges of thoughts and ideas with fellow bloggers in the comment boxes of these blog entries.
So I thought it fitting to dedicate these trophies to him; not to mention that the PBA award ceremony fell on his birthday, too :)
Thank you very much, Mario!
ReplyDeleteYour regular visits and comments are much appreciated, though I'm unable to reciprocate in same frequency because of my slow connection ... hehehe.
Oh, thank you for such sweet thought and wishess, EM :)
ReplyDeleteYes, if anything, this should prove that Oprah was right all along! Just throw out there what you love doing and then let the universe reciprocate accordingly!
God bless you and your daughter, EM!
Thanks much, Paolo.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, I have more than what I've wished for at the moment ... hehehe. I intend to share these blessings by churning out more entertaining stories in the upcoming days!
Thank you very much, Bernadette!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nerdluck!
ReplyDeleteActually, just the other day, I was telling what a great blessing it would be if I could keep on blogging til I'm old and gray ... hehehe!
Thank you Janette!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you, too, to all the PBA judges. I very much appreciate the honor!
Oo nga ano, Cookie? I didn't know you were going to be there. Sayang!
ReplyDeleteWould you believe I wasn't no more than a 15-minute drive away from MOA yesterday? I was working on a photo shoot project, though, which lasted very late at night. I'm sure Juned would have allowed me even just to peek in kahit sandali man lang.
Lol .... no, Pareng Pete. Walang laptop :(
ReplyDeletePero the honor of having won three trophies in this evening's event is humbling, though at the same time, super booster to my confidence as a writer.
Thank you, Pete!
Muchas gracias, El Cineasta!
ReplyDeleteHi BCS,
ReplyDeleteI believe it's more like educating each other. You see, without everyone's input, I don't think these posts would have been as lively and enlightening!
Yes, I was in Binondo the other to do an errand and you can imagine how happy I was to see these banderitas! So, I immediately whipped out my point & shoot and started snapping away. And while I was there, I lit a red candle.
Thank you so much, BCS!
Thank you very much, Agnes!
ReplyDeleteTruth be told, receiving three recognitions in one single night is mind blowing because I've never experienced anything like it. But even more significant is the tremendous boost to my confidence gained from these awards.
Last year, I won the Photo Blog of the year award which somewhat celebrated my skills as a photographer. But these three Best Single Post awards essentially recognize my skills as a writer.
You see, Agnes, today PBA, tomorrow Palanca ... hahaha!
By the way, thank you very much also for being the very first person to have made me aware that I had won last night :)
Thanks so much, Dominic!
ReplyDeleteAs I've told Cookie, I wasn't too far from MOA last night but I was working on a photo shoot, though.
But you know? Glad I wasn't there ... I might have had a heart attack with all that excitement ... hahaha!
But seriously, I got teary-eyed when I learned that I've received three awards in last night's PBA ceremony. It's simply mind blowing.
Again, Dominic, thank you!
and you weren't there to receive your well-deserved awards.
ReplyDeletei hate you now (tee hee hee hee)
:D
Congrats, Eric! You deserve more!
ReplyDeleteConratulation Eric! I'm happy for you and pretty sure that "taba"
ReplyDeletefeel the same way. More power to
you and regards to the family.
Pelotario
CONGRATS, Eric!
ReplyDeleteYou now have the world over there at your fingertips!
CONGRATULATIONS!!
ReplyDeleteGo to the next level, go for the Palanca!!
Congratulations, Eric. The awards are all very well deserved. Thanks for sharing your photos and thoughts with us. I certainly look forward to more! :)
ReplyDeletecheers senor. you are truly deserving. more to come.
ReplyDeleteViva Senor Enrique!! Viva compeanos!!
ReplyDeleteMula sa fans mo dito sa South Pacific!!!
Lol ... I was nearby working on a project that lasted late in the evening, Jester!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, many thanks again for being the very first to post the list of the winners. It was on your site where I learned I had won three trophies!
And congratulations to you, too!
Thank you, Simon!
ReplyDeletePerhaps, next year, it'll be your turn. I'm a regular visitor to your wonderful blog!
Thanks much, Ferdie! Regards to your family as well :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, remember as amateur Jai-Alai players when during our Christmas party up in the Sky Room, many from our table won the raffle? You, me, and a couple of more fellow amateurs? That was fun!
Thank you very much, Amadeo.
ReplyDeleteHowever, not quite the world over here. Perhaps, blogolandia only ... lol!
BTW, I coined the word 'blogolandia' as alternative to 'blogosphere' which seems cold, alienating and too sci-fi ... hehehe.
Also, blogolandia has a Pinoy ring to it, I think :)
Thank you, Juleste!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I will :)
Thank you, Panaderos.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the kind words as well :)
Thank you very much, Photo Cache :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Eric!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you winning the writing awards :) Your stories are truly inspiring!!!
I am so late as the past two days were a bit busy...I missed the awards which I was aiming to attend this year haaay.
Blogalandia parang buendia (with a bus inspector's tone hehehehe) piyesta!!!

God bless Eric!!! Blessings comes in threes!!!
Hello Eric,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It's very well deserved. I look forward to your post everyday.
congratulations senor enrique! u truly deserve the awards! was hoping to finally meet you on the awards night, maybe next year!
ReplyDeleteKailangan mo nang magpagawa ng aparador para sa mga awards mo. hehehe.
ReplyDeleteYou truly deserve the awards, Eric. And if I'm not mistaken, you are the highest pointer in the 2008 Philippine Blog Awards for garnering three!
Congratulations and more blessings to come, Eric! :)
Senor,
ReplyDeleteDon't worry re reciprocating my visits. My posts are most times far and in between, when I have the time. Plus not all my posts are as interesting to the "public", more personal than anything else: would be glad if like minded people take interest in my blogs otherwise, I'll keep on posting till I get another hobby... hehehee.
I love the way your bro Taba have this dinners with actual adult conversations... I mean ideas instead of tsismis. I think I dreamed of some bloggers getting together for dinner and conversation up at La Cucina of Tita Moning. Most parties I've been to either have card gmaes of some sort and karaoke...
Mario
Mario
Hey Eric - congrats ! As expected and it's not a surprise - for me that is - that you'd be bagging the salami and cheese again this year :) Well done bro !
ReplyDeleteYou've really come a long way, Eric! Congratulations on the 3 blog awards!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Eric!
ReplyDeleteGod bless!
- Rachel Teodoro Santamaria
Thank you, Daisy!
ReplyDeleteOo nga, siopao at siomai for the celebration ... lol!
But blogolandia sounds like my mom's province -- Bicolandia!
Yes, what a wonderful thought: blessings come in threes! That mean I have two more coming? Hehehe!
Thanks so much, Pat :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Filipino Deltiologist!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to but I had a project to work on the afternoon/evening. And I was too exhausted afterwards to do anything else.
Yes, maybe next year :)
Thanks much, Rhoda!
ReplyDeleteHindi ko pa naman siguro kailangan 'yon. But you should see my friend's living room in New Jersey. It's filled with trophies and medals from his three sons' sports activities. Daig pang tindahan sa Raon ng mga trophy at medals ... hehehe.
You should keep it up, Mario, even if you come up with a newer hobby. our inspiration blog alone is a gem!
ReplyDeleteCard games, mahjong and karaoke at parties can be fun at times, but a regular dose of which can be boring.
Taba's "meeting of the mind" dinner parties consisted of no more than eight people, plus it was held usually on Tuesday nights when New York bistros aren't usually crowded. This way we could stay longer than usual especially when the conversations got intensely fascinating.
Something like that in Manila would be grand, indeed! I'd love that.
Lol ... thank you, BW!
ReplyDeleteWell, since you never asked me out to do some photo shooting, Dorie, look what happened: I buried myself in blogging ... hahaha!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
Hey, how are you and how's your photography coming along?
Hi Rachel!
ReplyDeleteAs I've told Enzo, many more younger folks would get to know Don Toribio Teodoro -- his incredible rags-to-riches story and his legacy as the founder of Ang Tibay Shoes!
Many thanks, Rachel!
Hi Mandaragat!
ReplyDeleteMany many thanks!!!
Hope you're all having a wonderful time in the South Pacific!
Cheers!
wow, congratulations senor! i remember reading those 3 posts way before. keep on blogging! =)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Senor Enrique! Job well done! Curious lang po ako, di pa kita nakikita sa blog mo. May mga pictures ka ba dito sa blog mo?
ReplyDeleteMore power....Arlan V.
Thank you very much, Arlan!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm an avid shutterbug, I am camera shy. This dates back to when I was a kid with a Kodak Brownie camera, I enjoyed being the family's photographer :)
However, I do have a picture of myself in one of my posts (see the bottom pic):
