ON SOLID FOUNDATION
The greater part of all mischief in the world arises from the
fact that men do not sufficiently understand their own aims.
They have undertaken to build a tower, and spend no more
labor on the foundationthan would be necessary to erect a hut."

I agree totally with the quote!
Have a blessed Sunday ahead Eric!

Very wise words!
And I should remember them!
Very strong looking bolts there. If every man's wishes are anchored that way---as the above quote speaks of---then this world would have been a far better place.
Ay, very true.
I apply this with education.
Okay, I plead guilty, Eric. I was not able to follow up well on my two younger kids' schooling. Marco is lucky I was able to give him all the coaching he needed, tutored him very extensively till sixth grade. And he really benefited from that as he excelled in high school and graduated with double majors in Political Science and Psychology in college with good grades to boot.
With the two younger kids, naging busy na ako sa work so I just let them on their own, thinking "makakahabol din pag high school at college na."
But it turned out - mahirap palang maghabol. And I guess I was never able to correct this mistake with my second son. With my daughter, I'm trying my best now, but really - pag weak ang foundation, it affects the whole structure.

Gustave Eiffel was able to create a good foundation for his tower...
About kids: Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
conscious virtue is the only solid foundation of all happiness...
