ONE HORNY CAT

This is her latest brood which she brought down from the roof a couple of weeks ago.

They were so aloof in the beginning; running to hide as soon as they heard my footsteps. But they've calmed down since. Finally, I was able to take a picture of them as they lounged around in the backyard.

The only question now is, how long will these kittens be around, and where will Muning take them as she had done with her previous kittens?

Eric, after your "12 little things every Filipino can do" feature, I promised myself not to post comment here in your blog anymore.

But... I can't help it... hahaha! Muning is so funny, just the title of this entry alone made me laugh so.

Well, we only have two cats left here in our house... the mother and one of her original daughters. Naku, nakakainis! They entertain their lovers in the carport. And they do it so noisily at night - like they are competing with me and hubby. LOL!

I love this picture... What perfect timing it was that they seemed to have arranged themselves for you to photograph them.

In ny parents house in Quezon City, my mother placed a canopy (net) for her orchids.

When the net was set in their, stray cats would jump off from the roof and stay there for the night.

The orchids did not survived because they were brought to Manila from Davao (a bad habit of my mother). Naturally we removed the net.

That evening while having dinner, we heard four loud consecutive MEOWS! then followed each by a bang like something has fallen on the pavement...

Lol ... creatures of habit, aren't they, TOF? As wise men say, "look before you leap!"

That's really funny! But I bet, as agile as they are, they survived the crash landing unharmed.

Glad you chose not to vent out your anger on these little kittens, Rhoda; otherwise, you'd receive hordes of complaints from PETA and SPCA ... hahaha.

But aren't you lucky? Not too many people gets the opportunity to go head to head against concupiscent felines :)

"Glad you chose not to vent out your anger on these little kittens, Rhoda;"

That was not really anger, but just a momentary revulsion on my part which I believe can happen to anyone at a given circumstance, condition or situation, di ba? Problem is - I nurtured it, hence the explosion. And I apologize, Eric, that it had to happen here in your blog.

But I really have to thank you for allowing your blog become a venue for open and free discourse. I guess one of the reasons why readers keep coming, aside from your very evocative photography and well written articles, is the fact that they enjoy the free flowing exchanges of information and ideas here. :)

I second the emotion, Rhoda! :-)

I also find your cat photo sooo funny and witty, Eric!

I am a cat lover and understand their shenanigans! But my husband says, either cats or dogs and never the twain shall meet. And he likes dogs because they walk with him up the forest. So there goes my cats :-(...

I must admit that I am no self-proclaimed pundit or master of anything; thus, free flowing exchanges of ideas are most welcome here, Rhoda; that is, devoid of anger, of course.

Honestly, Luna, I lost count! I have no idea how many Times Muning has given birth since she claimed this place this place as her part time home. I know she lives somewhere else as well -- somewhere in the neighborhood.

That's right! Family planning! Hehehe.

I am foremost a dog lover, Bernadette, but Muning has certainly earned her keep and my respect. Our entire surrounding has been rat-free since she came down from the roof when she was only a couple of months old :)

Many thanks!

Aren't they, Danii? However, I don't want to get too attached because Muning is bound to take them somewhere any day now.

I'm afraid that if I had her fixed, donG, Muning might become spiteful and not chase away those rats anymore ... hehehe.
