This statue is at Luneta Park near the Rizal Monument. It is called La Madre Filipina by Martinez and retouched by F. Caedo.

Thanks, Pusa!

PIGEON or Statue?

Pigeon does the popo to the statue.
Its better, statue na lang tayo always, kasi it meant we did more valuable, other wise, wala tayong statue.di ba?

But, pigeon, ok rin, they are part of beautiful creation,

Unless, behave sila, kasi, kainis sila they make "kaka" everywhere, inis Butler, haha!

Good capture of La Madre SE !! I like the quote too....but it´s a good thing that we dont have so much pigeons flying around Mla. otherwise that beautiful statue will be full of "kuko" as they say here in lisbon..their dropings are very damaegable to buildings & even at cars.
Thanks also for droping by at my blog,im new to it..

I think the pigeons here in Manila are mostly privately bred and cared for, Aura. Besides, I think we have enough stinkers here ... hahaha!

My pleasure, Aura. It's a nice site you have; a cool place to learn about Lisbon culture :)

That passage can be compared to something that I can only dream of.

That someday, I can yell at those big bosses and fire them!

Hahahaha!

O' well it ain't gonna happen, so I will always be the statue.

That's a funny quote. I don't know which is better though. If you're the statue, you'll get the droppings. If you're the pigeon, well, you're the pigeon. :)

I love this photo... great angle!
