Interesting. I wonder how the Trinoma managaement would react to a swarm of photographers shooting there. Hehehe...

By the way, I was finally able to buy i-mag photography magazine issue 8 and saw your picture. Does this magazine come out monthly? And how were you informed that your picture would be used for the mag.

i-Mag is the best locally produced magazine on photography, Photowalker. It is a hundred percent Pinoy endeavor and its articles and tutorials are written in easy-to-understand English -- laymanized, in short.

I suggest that you join its online forum:

http://imagphoto.com/boards/index.php

and participate in its many threads, as well as post some of your pictures.

The publisher, Neil Garcia, and the editorial board, headed by Ed Yap, constantly scan the posted pics and select photos from which to publish in the "Thousand Words" section. If yours is selected, you will be sent an email requesting for a larger file of the image and its exif data, as well as a brief description of yourself.

There is also a monthly contest in which the top ten entries are selected and published, though only the top three are awarded prizes.

There many not be any substantial remuneration to brag about, but for your photos to be picked and featured in this glossy magazine is quite prestigious, especially within the local photography community. Needless to say, you can imagine the impact of a tearsheet or two (of your photos as featured in a glossy magazine) as part of your portfolio.

The online forum members are also quite active in organizing photo op get-togethers. There is one being developed right now (shhhhh!) which I know you wouldn't want to miss :)

So, better join its online forum soon!

As for this Mabuhay Magazine photo search, from what I heard, there is remuneration involved. I just don't know how much :)

I've mall envy. We only have 2 big malls here, the biggest mall here is probably just 3/4 (at most) of megamall.

Metro Manila should be entered into the Guiness Book of Records for having so many super malls in a given area, Senorito Ako. As I've said many times, this should be taken as a significant indicator of the enormous amount of money or affluence of its citizenry, for how else could all these malls' existence be sustained otherwise.

Hmmm... is she the new managing editor?

Just so photographers would know. Mabuhay pays quite well on published materials on their magazines so try to send yours. I think they are actively looking for different travel photos to be featured on their "Last Frame" as well

Not sure about her position in the company, Ferdz, but glad to know that Mabuhay is quite generous with its contributing photographers.

I have a friend who is a regular contributor, but had never asked him specifically for the pay rates. I should, at least, for personal edification.

Thanks, Ferdz!

trinoma must be happy--a lot of articles have been written about them, they must do a "Taste Asia"

Wouldn't the photographer &/or the magazine get in trouble when they publish pictures of Trinoma? Especially the shots of the inside.

Sir, I joined i-mag forum as "change". Their nights shots there are very good. Very inspiring too.

Perhaps, that eatery should advertise in Mabuhay Magazine, Dine ... hehehe.

Not really since it will only promote Trinoma as a travel destination -- excellent for business, actually.

Glad you joined the i-Mag online family, Change ... hehehe. Your night shots are just as interesting. In fact, I shared your site's URL to a couple of friends who've been planning to do some night shoot for the longest time.

BTW, please drop the "sir." Eric will do just as fine :)
