Yeah, that is funny, Pusa, that's why I decided to take a pic of it :)
I sometimes pass by Manila North Cemetery and had never taken any pictures inside. This morning, I just decided to cab it over there.
I've classified these photos -- I've selected from the shoot -- into three series. I will post the second in a bit.-
said... Yes, the "Mag-ingat" warning sign was really funny. Hahaha! Oh, I love Pinoy humor. I miss it a lot here in Switzerland.

I used to live in Sampaloc and we are walking distance to the north cementery. We used to join the long pilgrim of people walking to the cementery. Ours however is at Loyola (i hope i got that right it's been too long). We get more space so we can set up a small tent to spend the night. That's when all the fun ghost stories starts :)

I'd like to go back there tonight, EM, and check out the various tents that some people had set up which resembles the July 4th picnics in America. I remember years ago when they even had a carnival (feria) set up next to the cemeteries, which the elders found hocking ... hehehe. But since such holidays is also regarded as a family reunion, it wouldn't be as much fun for everyone if everything would be focused on man's mortality and causes of which :)

That's right, Jeff! It's a festive atmosphere at the cemeteries all over the country. However, spirits are not allowed through the gates, only the unbottled ones ... hehehe.

Most local Pinoys enjoy their photos to be taken, Kyels. That's why the happy faces :)
Especially on the 31st, many people opt to remain overnight -- sort of keeping vigil, as well as waiting for relatives from far away places to arrive. As said, some consider this holiday as a significant family occasion.-

I was coming around the bend in this tranquil section of the cemetery, Francesca, when suddenly, much to my surprise, the sight of an Andok's Chicken eatery came into view.
I just had to take a photo of it with this lovely area of the park as backdrop... hehehe.
