This incessant rain going on since this early morning in Manila, Mimi, is making me long for another festival in the city, and that's why I dug up an old picture that reflects my wish :)

Yes, Carla, dito lang yan. It best reflects my longing for another major festival in Manila.

Try Strumms in Jupiter Street on Saturday nights...a band called Overdrive plays 70's and 80's music. But their dance floor is too small---dance on the stage instead! There's also RJ Bistro on the same street, and there is real dancing there!
Bed weather talaga...ang lungkot ng panahon. Sarap magkape! :-)-

Which oldies tune do you mean SenorE? I miss the reggae, swing and the likes dancing tunes, so whenever friends and I get the chance to karaoke, we sing some of them and dance n din. =)-

Anything with a dance-able beat like those dating back from the Motown era up to the '80s would be nice :)

You probably haven't witnessed a more scandalous act than to see me shamelessly dancing up on a stage at some respectable club in Makati, Miranda ... hehehe.
Wouldn't be surpised if I get led out in a straight jacket :)
But nonetheless, dancing can surely be lots of fun.-

Pero ang hindi ko maintindihan - ay bakit ang mga anak ko, ayaw niia akong makitang nagsasayaw.
"Mama, no! Don't dance!" the 5-year old Aypee frantically said as he hugged my legs tight to stop me when he saw me dancing to a Donna Summer disco tune. He was probably thinking - "nagwawala na ang nanay niya!" haha!-

Lol ... I used to do the same with my mom, Rhoda, when I was a little kid. As soon as she started to dance with the tune:
Baselon, querico baselon
Cha cha cha, querico cha cha cha
I would tug at her skirt and drag her back to sit on the sofa with me ... hahaha! Since my nickname is Ric, I probably thought they were teasing with with that song or something :)
We have got to bring back some dancing sessions with the old dance music. Great exercise, too!-

I think dancing is one of those activities that allows anyone to get as serious or as silly as they want to get as they move along with the beat of the music, Romy -- which makes it an exhilarating experience.
I really should get back to dancing ... hehehe!-

I tend to develop instantaneously those two left feet whenever the dancing involved choreographed moves, Nashei. This is why I never got into any of the ballroom dancing. I prefer to just do want I want as long as my moves don't suggest anything salacious ... hehehe.
But as they say, if you can walk, you can dance so, you can dance, Nashei :)-

Yup, I ought to do more dancing ... hehehe. Kahit na nagiisa lang. Actually, there was that exercise guru, Richard Simmons, who produced those dancing with the oldies cum exercise videos. Hmmmm ... let me search for one :)-

It started At Quirino Grandstand in Luneta, BW, and then they paraded along Roxas Boulevard up to the Cultural Center complex. It was a wonderful festival!

Do try dancing on stage with the live band. I did it before. A few drinks helped, though.
I've been performing those choreographed dances back when I was a student. Pakapalan lang ng mukha. Smiling helped mask my ineptness (I never fully mastered the steps, I just improvised). Once, I even got bumped off an overcrowded stage, haha!! partly my fault for underestimating the floor area when I gave out instructions to the construction crew.-

I must bow to you then, Dave. Mahina talaga kukote pag may mga steps na dapat sundin sa pagsayaw. Baka naman sigure Conscious lang ako masyado ... hehehe.
You must have given the audience quite a scare when you fell off that stage! Hope you didn't get badly hurt.
