Things to do on this sunny Sunday:

Happy hunting with your weekend plans.
ReplyDeletebefore Sunday came, i planned to:
ReplyDeletea. skip Sunday mass because I stayed late to wait for the water supply
b. continue doing the laundry
c. clean the house
d. bloghop after posting
e. take a nap in the afternoon
i was able to do 'em all :-)
Thank you, Jhay, but unlike Bing, I was only able to accomplish 3 of the 6 items listed on my list. I wasn't able to play badminton, see the Superman movie, or do my grocery shopping.
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations, Bing! I bet that feels great, huh? Being able to do everything you set out to do for today. I did my list as a sort of fun experiment to see if Lennon was right, and in my case he was.
I got sidetracked when my nephew came over for lunch and updated me about a certain violent incident that occurred in his neighborhood recently. So, instead of doing the other 3 items on the list, I went with my nephew. I will blog about it as soon as I get more details.
I guess what happened to me today was what Lennon was talking about -- an aspect of life that happens while I was busy making other plans.
buti pa diyan sunny sunday,
ReplyDeletedito maghapong nag-uulan kahapon ..... :(
Sunday came and went... no real plans for me, but I did intend to visit my family in Baguio. So I did that. Tapos may extra treat. We visited my parents so baby Jo-Lo was able to visit his Lolo and Lola as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteNakakapagod pero worth it. So here I am, back in my cubicle at work...
since sunday has just passed, I'll just say what I did.
ReplyDelete1. I did some comics drawing whole morning after the early mass.
2. Took the whole afternoon sleeping!
3. That evening watched Wimbledon finals between Federer and Nadal, then at 2 a.m. watched the World cup finals between France and Italy.
Went to church with my wife and daughter at 1030am. My daughter had a great time at Sunday school. Had lunch at home and watched a bit of the World Cup, PGA golf, slept a bit. At about 530pm went with the family to the marina about 10kms from our home. Strolled down the very pretty main st going to the docks and had pasta, spicy samozas, jerk chicken wings, choco-mint tea and ice cream at a small but cute restaurant owned by a Jamaican couple. The 20deg C weather was just superb - not too hot nor cold. My little girl spent about half an hour playing at the kids playground near the lakeshore. Went home and cleaned the pool, turned on the sprinklers for the front yard and the backyard. Really great when the sun sets at 9pm this time of year!
ReplyDeleteMy sunday was great,
ReplyDeletewake up in the morning and sing at the church choir, after all you meet your friends there and have a little drink and tapas on the bar next to it.. it time to relax, for the afternoon spending time at the park!
Panay ulan dito noong Biyernes at Sabado -- may bagyo daw.
I'm sure Jo-Lo had a wonderful time with the grandparents, Watson.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm supposed to go to Baguio for a weekend for an overdue visit with friends, but have been unable to do so. I must go soon, though.
I would've loved to see the Wimbledon finals, Rey, but totally missed it; heard Federer snapped his losing streak to win it whereas Nadal lost it coming from a 14-winning streak. Hope you post some of your new comic creations.
Wow! that was a pretty picture you painted for us, BW! I love marinas -- so soothing. Your daughter playing near the lakeshore and the meal you had absolutely made a sunny Sunday even more perfect, I'm sure.
That seemed like a perfect Sunday for you, too, Neil. Ah, there's nothing like music to start one's Sunday. You mentioned tapas --last one I had was in NYC. And the park! All these you did (except the singing with the choir) made me think of my lazy summer Sundays in NYC.
BTW, guys, if you click on Lennon, it'll give you a clue as to why I created a post about this sunny Manila Sunday :)
My youngest son would ask me every once in a while if Sunday was named so because it's always sunny on that day. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it your birthday? Many happy returns of the day. :)
Many thanks, Irene!
ReplyDeleteWith the rainy season upon us, last Sunday was truly a magnificent day with all that sunshine. At least for that day, your son was right :)
As for Superman Returns, we decided to make it even more special and go for the 3D version at SM Mall of Asia. I'll go sometime this week to get us the tickets.
