BABY PRINCESS

If American babies tend to resemble President Eisenhower, well, Filipino babies certainly look like Chairman Mao. This is Princess, my friend's four-month-old baby.

About a ton of pictures of Princess must already have been taken by my friend and his wife with their phone camera; however, they can only have them printed as wallet-sized photos. That is because anything larger will compromise the quality of the image. So I suggested that we take some photos of Princess with my dSLR, the shots from which they can have printed in any size they want.

Although it requires the patience of a saint, I enjoy taking baby pictures the most, because no matter how good or bad the shot, the awesome ethereal charms of the infant will always stand out.

Ay, ang cute! I think I want to have a grandchild na!

I miss having a baby around. Maybe this is the reason why I am always having "baby dreams". Almost every night, nagkaka panaginip ako ng baby.

Baby pictures! When we were babies, my mom would call a professional photographer to take our pictures. I was always the photog's headache because I refused to pose for him. One time when he came and spent hours and hours cajoling us to pose, I was the only one who didn't succumb to his tricks. But when we brought him home and as he was about to alight from the car, I tapped him on the shoulder, stuck my tongue out and smiled and posed. He took a picture of this 3-year old imp. I still have that black-and-white picture. :)

But now, looking at your beautiful beautiful pictures ... wow!

If that was my mother's baby, Photo Cache, she'd only allow you to kiss the baby's feet. You see, she thinks that no matter how cute the baby is, no one is allowed (especially the guys) to to touch or kiss the face, because the dirty hands or the guy's day old stubble might irritate the baby's delicate skin and cause some rashes.

But this baby's cheeks are so tempting to pinch and kiss because they just puff out of her chubby face ... hehehe! But I remembered my mother's lesson so I just kissed Princess' feet which are just as chubby :)

Sabi na nga ba, Rhoda, eh. As soon as you these new baby pics, you'd be dying to have one in your home ... hehehe.

Kaya lang, all your kids are still too young to get married and have babies. Hayaan lang silang mag-enjoy.

Hala ka, baka bigla ka na lang mag-adopt ... hehehe. But seriously, there's no better experienced mom I can think of to provide a warm and loving home to an orphaned baby than you, Rhoda. Swerte ang baby :)

No joke was told, Sidney. Actually, that was taken after she had taken a nap.

You have a few minutes of "magical moments" to take photographs of the baby after he/she had awakened from a restful nap. They usually would be all smiles and pretty much in a very jovial mood.

Aha! So you were the family's supermodel, huh, Bugsy? Hehehe. I would love to see that picture you speak of.

I think children don't really enjoy being told to strike a particular pose and smile. Better just take pics of them in their usual selves -- more natural pa, di ba? Pero uso nga ang children pics na todo ang mga posing :)

That's right, Aura ... Portugal has so many wonderful architectural treasures that to this day are well restored and maintained. Bet the country boasts many found influences from their discoveries - not only in architecture but in food as well.

Princess is certainly a lovely baby ... hehehe.
