DOLOR'S KAKANIN
They have got to be among the best kutchinta and sapin-sapin in Manila. It used to be I had to wait until going to the provinces to get a taste of really tasty traditional local merienda foodstuffs. However, nowadays, I can just head on over to Dolor’s Kakanin shop in Banawe Street in Quezon City to fulfill my craving. There was a time when we have to drive all the way out to their main store in Malabon, but since opening a branch nearby, buying from them has become a lot more convenient. They also make home deliveries.
Their products are unarguably far superior than those at the public market. Other than kutchinta and sapin-sapin, Dolor’s also offers kalamay ube, kamoteng kahoy, mais, pitsi-pitsi, pansit Malabon, rellenong bangus, and tinapang bangus.

My sister dod, Tutubi; she loves it. Are talking about Causeway (Banawe corner San Fran del Monte)? Naku, wala ka makuhang parking doon. Laging puno :( Masarap ang mga dimsum nila. Pakadaming masasarap na kainan dito.

Dati manual focusing ako lagi perso sinabihan ako na gamitan na lang ng auto focus kasi mabilis naman daw ang Nikkor lens ko. Aperture-priority din ginamit ko dito, Ferdz.

This post is starting a craving for kakanin. The closest thing here, is the Vietnamese version of kakanin. Also good, but not quite the same.

am not much of a kakanin lover but my very fave is puto bumbong which I have not had in a very long time. i found one here one time but it was buried in margarine, yuck... that photo of kutchinta with freshly grated coconut is to die for...yummy....pa fedex naman :)

Btw, the Japanese aren't much into sweet stuff, huh? In NYC, my favorite Japanese restaurant only serves green tea ice cream; nothing more when it comes to dessert.
