We should all join, Gita, even just for the fun of it! Hey, you never know, sabi ko nga.
Thanks much! The first and last pics were taken at the Orchidarium, which I had featured once:

The middle pic was taken from last year's Quezon City's Pet & Flower Show.

i see.. kaya pala the first photo is so familiar. ive been there. pero tagal na yun. i could post my photos from my baul sana pero i think i would want a new set of shots. soon maybe.
is this Pet and Flower show an annual affair in QC?- said...
hope you win :)
But of course, the 'photographer's eye' factor is often the decisive point.
I like the first photo. It looks quite insightful with that image of the garden path - and as if inviting... "Come, see my garden..." :)- Sidney said...
Amazing the number of contests that are organized!
Of course, I hope you win!- Señor Enrique said...
Thanks, Irene! I have to get the name of this tree. I've seen a couple of it at some other places here in Manila; Intramuros, I think.

How about this, Gita -- pull out the old pics from the baul; choose which ones you like; and then re-shoot! I do that sometimes, but with a different point of view and/or time of day.
The flower show at Quezon City is held annually right there by the QC City Hall Compound. Will let you know once I find out the next one.- Señor Enrique said...
Ang alam ko nga lang, Melai, eh itong Orchidarium. Kaya lang walang mga hayop na kasama doon tulad ng mga puting gansa. Siguro kaya wala kasi nanghahabol at nangangagat ang mga ito!
- Señor Enrique said...
Rhoda, you are less than an hour's drive to Baguio! Grab Gem and spend an afternoon taking some flower pics up there and submit some entries!
It's really fun joining these contests :)
Have you been to the Orchidarium here in Manila?- Señor Enrique said...
Sidney, I hope you join the fun and send in a couple of entries as well. I'm sure you'd taken some lovely garden shots during your travels :)
Do it just for the fun of it :)- sheilamarie said...
loved the pics you took, eric.
are you planning to go out and get some more pics? pwede ba yung mga for sale sa malls? like the tulips?
what other places can one go to? diba marami in Q.C., near the BIR bldg?
dito alang halaman to take pictures of. hehe... only the swaying coconut trees survives in this heat =P
good luck with your entries! =D- Señor Enrique said...
Thanks, Sheilamarie!
I think for this particular contest, only pictures of flowers taken from a garden whether private or public are eligible, because they're actually promoting garden photography.
I guess, the heat makes it hard to cultivate flower gardens over there, huh?- Photo Cache said...
sali tayo. ty for the info.
- Señor Enrique said...
This is an international contest, Photo Cache, so yes, go ahead and join the fun!
Besides, you have plenty of beautiful sites where you are to use as subjects :)- Unknown said...
yun nga lang wala po kami garden only some potted plants almost dying in the heat.
Another excuse to go to Baguio :)- Señor Enrique said...
That's right, Daisy! Since the deadline for submission won't be until the end of this year, you have plenty of time to go back to Baguio and take picures of the gorgeous flowers of that city.
Sige, good luck sa paghanap ng mga subjects. Basta importante sa lahat, enjoy the entire process!- said...
all the best! with such great pictures, you will stand out.

Why not join the contest and involve the kids, too, Dine? It might prove fun for all. Actually, they even have a special award for under 16 participants! Join na!
