Actually, not wishing to be a party pooper, I would rather play Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" full blast and ring all my Nepal bells to usher in the new year. Our dogs find firecrackers quite a torture to their sensitive years.
The best place during New year's eve is actually on a high place so one can see the many,many flickering lights and fireworks!-

I noticed every year here in the Northwest(Oregon and Washington), New year's celebrations are getting louder. But they still restrict certain fireworks for safety reason. Last night celebration was really loud, the neighbors had those Chinese firecrackers and we were able to acquire some loud firecrackers that was sold in downtown. Usually, pag 4th of July lang meron tindahan ng paputok.
Then kaldero and pans ay pinupokpok ng mga Pinoys dito sa amin. Tapos, balik sa kainan na naman.
I hope to have a GLOBAL PEACE from now on.

Happy New year, Eric! I hope you celebrated the new year with a bang! A pair of headset saved my dog from nervous breakdown! He was in a skittish mood during the new year, lahat ng pictures nya blurred! :D
