Aperture: F5.6, Shutter: 1/250 sec
Focal Length: 142mm, ISO: 100
White Balance: Cloudy

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at cloud that way.
But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone.
So many things I would have done but clouds got in my way.

I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow
It's cloud illusions I recall.
I really don't know clouds at all.

Both Sides Now

I like it when it's cloudy and the sun is not so hot!

You made me sing with this entry, Eric, making me forget this disgusting skin allergy! hehehe.

Di naman, Gita ... hahaha! Only a bit haggard, I guess.

Love his pic and didn't know what to post it with. And then suddenly that phrase came to mind, "ice cream castles in the air."

Nice pic! It's depressing and soothing and strangely optimistic. All at the same time!

That's exactly how I felt about it, Baddie ... and that may be the reason why I was compelled to look at it often, and finally to post it.

Thanks, for your candid input :)

Love the ocean! the horizon touching the playful clouds. I like JM:)

I guess everyone has their moment of being drawn by the ocean, to just be there and stand still :)

Very serene and warm. Sarap pagmasdan. And I especially like the ideas of Ice Creams and castles as well. Combining all these just makes me smile. Hehe

This was actually taken the Sunday before last, Ricky, so you wouldn't have witnessed the similar twilight ... hehehe. However, I've uploaded this image to set up for posting as blog entry last Tuesday; therein may be the confusion :)

It might have been just the time of day I had taken this picture, DatuPanot, which was taken around 4:30 pm.

Then agan, I've underexposed it by a couple of exposures and set the white balance to cloudy to give it a warm (orangy) effect :)

Many thanks!

That's truly comparable to an Amorsolo painting. Except for the angle of the sailboat, if it was a local fishing boat with a bright "lampara" glowing from it, ayos na ayos! I like the pinoy colors captured in that photo. Suwerte niyo! you dont have to deal with Cibachrome and kodachrome films to capture colored images anymore.

Blogger Señor Enrique said...

True, Noypetes, as those fishing boats in the provinces! Galing nga noon.

Yes, many Manilenyos might take for granted that we have one of the most incredible cloud formations and sunset colors.

Btw, off topic: I got the list of movie theaters we talked about. Will be posting it :)

i just love pictures that show the sky, may it be cloudless or cloudy, sunrise or sunset. actually the sky was clear yesterday with a few wisps of clouds that look like an artist's brushstrokes on sunset. =)

That song was a big hit when I was a teenager in high school. Every time I hear it, I can't help but get nostalgic.

A similar scene occured once in Subic Bay while I was jet skiing, Sheilamarie. At one point it felt like it was beckoning me to "come home." I got suddenly scared and turned back towards the beach.

Goes to show that scenes like this can be so mesmerizing. As you said, it's like God's hand painting.
