FROM HERE ON FORWARD
This March, two girls, Eileen and Maryann, and two boys proudly graduated from high school. No easy feat for those coming from impoverished backgrounds. The girls swept up all the honors and awards for excellence and leadership. Every hardship can be overcome, light can shine from darkness and in Easter we need to see that in real life more and more. No matter how hard, dark and hopeless life may seem, there are good loving people out there willing to help and give support to anyone in need.

I was third year high school at St. James when we had a retreat there. At that time, the bases were there and the controversy along with the infamous rift between Sen. Gordon (nee mayor of Olongapo)and Fr. Shay Cullen persist. In good terms na ba sila ngayon?
Graduation
My kudos goes to OFW parents, especially to those who couldn't make it on their child's graduation day.
You know, kahit wala na sa kanila basta may maipadala lang.
If I could only make them home even only on this special day.
But then Senor, I'm just a dreamer..-

Those rails are really something to photograph! I posted one a while back as the symmetry amazes me!
March, yep, the month when we hear the song; 'Farewell to you my friend, we'll see each other again, don't cry coz its not the end of everything....' and then you'll hear the graduates crying! Oh memories...how nice to remember them.
Congratulations to those who'd graduate with flying colors...I used to be one of them but in college I was on the danger of not even graduating lol! Its funny how one takes classes so lightly but when graduation nears, the cramming is really obvious =D-

congratulations to the graduates wherever they are...especially those who toiled and persevered in spite of lack of "anything and everything."
To parents and guardians and stockholders (that's what patrons of school children are called here) who made tiyaga giving out baons, school obligations, transpo allowances aside from the tuition fees...as well as their encouraging (or not) words to the schoolers.
The best reward we have had as to one of our "scholars" is that she can now answer my husband in straight English!-

I am very happy to read about this, Eric. I've had a lot of Eileens and Maryanns among my students and I am proud to say that students who are financially handicapped are those who also work the hardest. I am proud of them!

They deserved to be help and they show their gratitude by keeping it on top grades.
I dont mind helping people like eileen and maryann.
I dont get paid in return but if they are doing well, its already the best reward from the giver and to the beneficiary as well.
We'll never know, they end up one of our future president.-
