seems likes almost every town in the country has some sort of street dancing festival ala Sinulog of Cebu.

Festive and very colorful shots! It gives you a feeling of rejuvenation..well that is if you have to deal with the heat and election chaos in Manila.
The postwar houses built in Pasay. Those that are in gated compounds and high concrete fencing. That should be good for your next black and white series. A good photo essay on the post war architecture in Manila amongst the new condos sprouting all over the metropolis.-

You probably have the most exciting and colourful fiestas in the world. In fact there seems to be a Fiesta every day somewhere in the Philippines.
Those groups are so colourful and talented. I will never be bored to look at them!
Of course (but this was expected from you) you did a great job.
The first picture is just fantastic.
Those are in no way "static" pictures and I love the way you captured "movement" and "grace" here! Very lively!
I can feel your excitement in every picture!
I guess you lost some pounds after the photo shoot with Pacman and the Aliwan Fiesta. ;-)-

And had they not organized an Aliwan Festival here in Manila, Leo, God only knows if I'd ever witness such awesome street dancing by our various provincial troupes.

This festival was truly a joyous respite from the election madness, Noypetes!
Sidney and I had spoken about doing architectural photographs, but the major hindrance was the horrible telephone and electrical cables all over the city that practically obscure the structures.-

Basically, Daisy, there are certain areas where you will be designated only to certain spots to take pictures from.
But then again, in these situations, my main priority is to take good pics and I have no other option but act gutsy and do it.

Hahaha ... you should have seen me when I finally got a chance to sit down that evening after taking pictures the entire afternoon, Sidney, I could hardly stand up ... hahaha! Serious! This would be the only time I'd wish I were only in my twenties :)
I think photography makes me sometimes forget my physical limitations at this stage of my life ... hahaha.

If I weren't mistaken, Irene, this festival was only initiated a few years ago. Had it not been for FPPF and my fellow camera club members, I probably might not have heard of it, either.

Yes, I think this will be a definite annual event. I suggest, if possible, that you guys time your summer vacation here in Pinas with this festival. It is really something else :)-

Many thanks, A!. I was having so much fun taking pictures that I didn't realize how tired I was until that evening. When I sat down I didn't feel like getting up anymore ... hehehe. Lolo na talaga me... hahaha!
