THE 2008 GSIS PAINTING COMPETITION
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) in cooperation with the Art Association of the Philippines invite all Filipino artists to join its open theme painting competition.
Participants are encouraged to explore their respective vision in order to present and conceptualize unique and individualized entries; hence, inspire them to produce diverse interpretations of what’s inside an artist’s mind.
Cash Awards for the winners shall be:
1st Prize - P 500,000.00
2nd Prize- 300,000.00
3rd Prize- 200,000.00
Five (5) Juror’s Choice - P 100,000 each
Entries must be submitted at the GSIS Museum located at the GSIS Main Office, Financial Center, Reclamation Area, Pasay City (CCP Complex – Diosdado. Macapagal Avenue) on April 19, 2008, Saturday, from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.

This is one event that I cover back then! I always get to see wonderful work of art (and great food too!lol). I think one should be an AAP member to join, right Senor?

I think this competition is open to all Filipino artists, Gizelle. But then one better check out the full mechanics on the GSIS site.

one of the things I like most aside from looking at art displays and the artist's face (hehe)...surely is: food.
