Again, thank you Eric for being everywhere as possible!
I have my own political opinion of course yet seeing the pics, I go for sincerity and usually those with cardboards for placards are for me the winners. I know of someone who experienced the UP Commune of the 60's as well as being the graffiti squad during the anti-marcos protests rallies. She told me that she learned quick silk-screen printing because of that.
Of course, issues are what really is all about and that is what rallies are for. For me, they are the people's only way to be part of the whole power game. I respect all for what they stand for and nevertheless that is still some energy just to attend those rallies...but then questionable are those who would hide their faces from your camera :-). Parang they were caught being in a prostitution ring or something ;-)?- Señor Enrique said...
Since most of these rallies I've covered have been peaceful and orderly, Bernadette, I am indeed delighted that our local folks -- both pro- and anti-administration -- participate in their basic democratic rights to express their opinions without jeopardizing their own and other peoples' safety.
Protest and unity marches keep democracy in our country alive.
However, like you, I'm puzzled by those who seem oblivious to the cause they appear to be supposedly supporting ... hehehe.- mgaputonimimi said...

2000... that is not a big crowd... maybe they should stop and go back to work... or start their vacations! ;-)

Were you at this rally, Noemi? I think you might have been in one of the shots I took, but wasn't aware of it at that moment.

2000 was the number that the police came up with, Sidney. But nonetheless, whether the actual figure was 2000 or 10,000, Liwasang Bonifacio is not conducive to hold such massive gathering.
There must be a larger and more open space in Manila (besides Luneta) without any statues or water fountains right in the midst of things.- -= dave =- said...
Whether it's 2000 or more, this rally appears to be composed of the usual people. Nothing extraordinary here.

Actually, Dave, several youths from various colleges/universities presented a wonderful program. However, I missed it because of another commitment I had to attend to.
