I love the quote.
(:
And the picture complements it well.- said...
In some ways, his image has a striking resemblance with the "Thinker". A great shot once again Senor. I'd like to think though that he's not up to something evil but something morally sound. Cheers.

It is quite a powerful quote, Kyels, the more one thinks of it, right?
Many thanks!- Señor Enrique said...
Hehehe ... or something lecherous, TruBlue. This evocative photo I thought would go well with this powerful food for thought.
Thank you!- Gerald (Ackworth born) said...
It is our 33rd wedding anniversary today and this is a lovely thought for the ocassion

That can be true as well, Daniel ... hehehe! A typical human behavior, I must say.

My original intention was to start collecting shots of our city's jeepneys, Aura. I was fascinated upon seeing this man's picture while going through my shots at the end of that day. I wasn't really paying attention to him when I took the shot.
Thanks!- Señor Enrique said...
Isn't it, Mimi? A powerful statement it is.

Thanks, Ean ... hehehe!

You're right, Lino. His thoughts are his and his alone. And so is that one person that thinks the world of him :)

That's sweet, Ackworth!
Happy 33rd Anniversary!
May you have many more to come!!!- NOYPETES said...
Eric,
Is it still common practice among pinoys to pay for an acquaintance's
fare when they meet in a Jeepney ride? "O pare saan ang lakad mo? diyan lang sa Quiapo at may pinabibili si misis..O mamang drayber eto po dalawa, sa may ilalaim ng tulay lang po!"..I used to love the front seats in my commutes on the Blumentritt-Dimasalang-Quiapo Jeepney route.
The guy in your Jeepney picture seems like he's scanning his "querida's" home watching for the husband's presence in the house!- -= dave =- said...
Haha, that's one of those cheesy quotes that never fail to make me smile anyway.

I love your quotes!, great B&w too, great framing the bus inside the photo. nice shot!

Paying for someone's fare has become a tradition in our commuting tradition, Noypetes. By the way, have you read an old post of mine about my father and uncle causing an accident because of this?

Admire your imagination, Pete. But then again, this was taken at the university belt area near UST at Loyola Street :)- Señor Enrique said...
Hi Dave!
A more concise version of which would be, "You are loved!"
Hahaha!- Señor Enrique said...
Apparently, you've never been to Manila, Luke :) This is actually a jeepney, a gift from the Second World War's American GIs.
Thanks!- NOYPETES said...
Oh well if it was shot in the University belt area, that man must be ogling at the pretty girls walking from across the street! Pervert on a Jeepney!

i still think he's picking his nose. :-) (just being nasty.)
- Señor Enrique said...
You got it, Dave!
Hahaha!- Señor Enrique said...
All right, all right ... Daniel!
Hahaha!- said...
i cant help but be amused! that jeepney driver in sando is my stereotype of a typical jeepney driver!!!
- Señor Enrique said...
That's true, Dine ... hahaha!
- said...
Was this shot taken during a 'pasada' or nakagarahe na ang jeep?
I noticed, why in sando? There should be dress code for jeepney drivers. Here in Dagupan, there's is an ordinance requiring PUV drivers to dress properly - no shorts, no sando.
As for the quote - "But you may also be the world to one person." I always say this to my daughter - "Baby, you are my world, my everything!" And she answers: "You too, mama! I can't live without you!" Tapos, babanat ng: "Ma, ibili mo ako ng...." SBut you may also be the world to one person. Sipsip! hehehe.- said...
oopps nag-jumble ang comment ko.. hehehe..

Okay lang, Rhoida kasi isang series lang din naman itong mga quotes, eh.
I agree with you, kids really know how to push that soft spot, ika nga. inherent talent na ata nila yan :)
