A SUNDAY EVENING THOUGHTFUL WISH

In Manila, a penthouse duplex apartment in that white building facing the bay would be the ideal abode, all right. Oh, well ... just dreaming out loud in this rainy Sunday evening.

How about you? Where would you consider to be your perfect dwelling, or do you already live in one?

I guess the perfect dwelling would be one where I have those I love and vice-versa around me. It could the most beautiful mansion in Forbes Park or the ramshackle of shanties in the Vaseco Compound.

It's all about the love, Eric. =)

I wonder how it looks in the daylight =D. But it really is promising at night.

I would like to live in a place where I could take real photos of my kids and not a photoshop-edited one like this: http://gmirage2.multiply.com/photos/photo/2/5

This time I will leave a positive note: Isaiah 65:21-22 "And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat [their] fruitage. They will not build and someone else have occupancy; they will not plant and someone else do the eating..." -A nice promise indeed...

Have a nice week ahead!

After living a "nomadic" life for many years - hopping from one apartment to another, we finally had our own house in 2000 - built just a few meters away from the beach. Until now however, the penthouse hubby wanted so much to build above (so he could have a good view of the beach while sipping white wine), remains to be a dream.

But if I were to choose, when the kids would be well on their own, I would like very much to go back to Baguio City and get a house somewhere the vicinity of the Mansion House.

Then I could smell the flowers everyday, take a walk on foggy mornings or afternoons, meditate at Pink Sisters Chapel, drink Benguet coffee, admire art works on display and sale along Session Road, have leisurely breakfasts at the Country Club with hubby...

Somebody, please wake me up.. :)

Yes, indeed, hb00, but my family, relatives and everyone else can get to my nerves sometimes :) And this may be why I long for a perfect a sanctuary from those makukulits ... hehehe.

And you know what, Rhoda? I can see you manifesting that thoughtful wish of yours. I can now envision a wonderfully nurtured garden, too!

You will attain this goal, I know it :)

Overlooking a flowing river with a vegetable, herb and flower garden would make it like heaven-sent for me, F. San Roque.

By the way, LAR of Sapot-Litrato has a wonderful nipa hut feature. You've got to check it out :)

I want a home for our family that is near the beach, and near the mountain-- I can envision Palawan. Somewhere near a city but not crowded-- something like Lantau Island. But we want somewhere cool as well ahahahah so many things... We want a huge garden for the kids to play then a home with lots of huge windows for natural light to come in. The we cant take a walk to the beach and swim or if it is too hot hike up the hills at the back :)

I checked this out already Eric. It is not for sale. ;-)
I think it is a hotel. So it can be yours for a day !

You are so resourceful, Sidney!

But you know what? even for a day, I'll take a room with a balcony and view of the bay ... and we'll bring our tripods and shoot a sunset from atop -- to our heart's content :)

Ah, yes, Daisy ... that would be just grand! I can envision it so vividly.

Hey, wait a minute ... are such beach front properties still affordable in Palawan or had they gone up crazily in prices?

I will pray for you to attain such a wonderful dream, Daisy :)

A lovely house by the beach with my loved ones living together with me. If not I can do with a duplex that has a sea view.

You and I, Kyels, are drawn to ocean views. A luxury, indeed.

But know what? Toe will soon be moving to a house with the view of the sea! Fortunate she is :)

If I had to continue to work in Manila, then the closest place for a retreat is Tagaytay (except on the weekends when it turns into Manila). Otherwise, if work was not an issue, I'd live somewhere near the sea, and surrounded by trees.

Serendra, that would be in The Fort, Jon?

Once sat next to a gentleman on my flight to California. During our conversation, he confided that his great success in business was largely attributed to his habit of thinking big. He advised me to do the same -- that since it's my own mind, I might as well fill it up with as many wonderful thoughts as I wanted.

So, a flat in Serendra it is for you, Jon :)

Hi Mistisang kalabasa. Thanks for visiting and for the link :)

You're another who loves the ocean view!

I just quickly browsed through your site. What a fine writer you are! I'll be visiting often :)

Yes, another beach front dweller you are, MTan :)

Tagaytay is nice, especially with its cool air and lots of wonderful places to go to for delicious meals. However, nothing beats a beach house ... hehehe!

For a Metro Manila base, I'd also like to have a flat in Serendra, too. It looks impressive right now, but I don't know how it would fare decades from now where the Fort would be fully-developed.

On the other hand, my dream personal spot on earth would be somewhere in the provinces, surrounded by trees and near a clean body of water, be it the sea, a river or a spring. It would also be nice to have a chopper in order to visit my friends' dream abodes.

And hopefully you'd allow me to tag along, Dave, so I can take the pics of yours and their dream abodes :)

Condo by the bay... perfect in my opinion :) My only concern would be the noise of vehicles on the boulevard but if there's ample distance it would be great :)

The major nuisance to residents along the boulevard, BW, was the excessive noise from live bands performing from across the street -- Baywalk. But now it is nice and a lot quieter.
